The STAR method is a well-known method used in interviews, particularly focused on behavioral-style questions. It is a method that is easy to learn and creates a story that engages the listener and demonstrates strengths in a clear, concise, and easy-to-follow manner. This is a method taught in courses on leadership and career navigation and published in a wide array of literature. In this session, we will use a combination of lecture and small group exercises that give the attendee tools to build 5-7 versatile STARs that can be used in a host of different questions, conversations, and situations. Having these "STARs" in one's pocket at any given time will create confidence and help the physician discover and articulate strengths with ease. This session was recorded on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at the 30th Annual
Scientific Assembly (AAEM24) in Austin, TX.
