The COVID-19 global pandemic has caused unimaginable morbidity and mortality across the world. In our battle against this deadly virus, we have discovered that death often occurs because of cardiovascular disease. In particular, the virus has been found to produce myocardial infarction, myocarditis, and heart failure. In this presentation, the speaker will discuss the recent literature which is better describing the pathophysiology of how the COVID-19 virus causes myocardial injury as well as how to manage patients with ST-segment elevation and new recommendations for managing cardiac arrest.
